Former President Mwai Kibaki has been hospitalised after he fell ill at his Muthaiga home in Nairobi.
The retired President is currently at Karen Hospital where he’s receiving treatment.
Among those who have visited him at Hospital is President Uhuru Kenyatta
Kibaki served as Kenya’s President for two five-year terms, from 2002 to 2013, before he was succeeded by the incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former president was appointed special envoy by United National Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco).
The 84-year-old lost his wife Lucy Kibaki in April this year while undergoing treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.
